With the increasing popularity of sports wagering, a lot of time is dedicated across multiple shows every week discusses overs and unders, spreads and upsets, and who is a "safe" bet each week.
If we have learned anything this year, it is that there is no such thing as a safe bet. At the beginning of the year, many would have said the defending NFC Champion would be the toughest competition of this year, but the 49ers are going to finish 2024 with a losing record and in last place in what is possibly the worst division in the league.
Over in the NFC North you have the Lions and Vikings fighting for dominance behind the comeback of the year in Sam Bradford and then further down the standings you have the number one overall pick who was meant to be a huge difference maker barely managing to get to 4 wins in 2024. I guess Caleb Williams still lacks polish. (See what I did there?)
Further NFC surprises include a Falcons team that is still in first place despite benching their 180 million dollar newly acquired quarterback (it turns out he's not just paid in Kohl's Cash). And then you have the NFC East featuring a potent Commanders offense that arrived seemingly out of nowhere.
Moving over to the AFC, who would have thought the Jets would finally get their Ayahuasca-sippin', conspiracy-theory-lovin', discount-double-checkin', Achilles-tendon-snappin', high-flyin' Quarterback back into the starting lineup only to find the most creative ways to lose, fire all their staff and allegedly are being run by a 14-year-old nepo baby? Anyone who placed a $100 bet on that at the beginning of the year can probably retire now.
The Chiefs have somehow managed to be the most underwhelming 15-1 team we've ever seen. Seriously, the Hallmark & Lifetime movies that are attempting to mimic the real life love story of Taylor Swift and Kelce are more entertaining than this nearly unbeaten team.
In the AFC North you have the Ravens performing as expected, but who would have thought the Bengals would struggle the way they have all the while Russell Wilson captures big wins for Pittsburgh while still cashing big checks from the Broncos? Also the AFC south exists, nothing further to report there.
The bottom line - sports gambling is a wild, wild world. Avoid the uncertainty, stress, and straight-up insanity with something a little more familiar. Online casinos like Sugar Shack, Fiesta Jackpot and Caliente Casino are open 24/7 year around and the best part is they are operated in the United States.
